USAA has opened two new buildings to help support its members’ ever-changing needs. A new, 150,000 square-foot office building opened in Plano adjacent to its existing location in Legacy Corporate Center, and a new 240,000 square-foot building in Tampa adjacent to its existing location in Crosstown.
This growth is part of USAA’s strategy to attract talent in regions like North Texas and Tampa to meet the ever-evolving needs of its members. USAA currently employs more than 34,000 people worldwide and serves more than 12.8 million members.
“We are very excited to add another gorgeous building to our Plano campus. Our commitment to and success in the Dallas market is evident by our growth,” said Rebecca Bowen, Assistant Vice President, IT and General Manager of USAA’s Dallas region. “USAA is a great company with an even greater mission and this expansion allows us to add another 850 talented employees to the USAA team.”
The Plano and Dallas offices currently house more than 1,200 employees, and with the expansion, will be able to accommodate up to 2,000 employees. Tampa currently has 3,500 employees in the area, including 900 who have the flexibility to work at home. The new office building will be able to accommodate 1,100 employees and grow USAA’s office footprint to approximate 1 million square feet of office space in Tampa.
