Message from New CEO

[USAA]

Dear Fellow Member, 

It is an honor to serve as USAA’s 17th CEO, assuming the helm from Stuart Parker who retired after more than 20 years with the company. We are grateful for his leadership and congratulate him on his well-earned retirement. He always will be part of the USAA family.  

I am excited to build on the strong foundation created by the 25 Army officers who founded USAA and the incredible leaders who came before me. I’ve had the privilege of working with several of them during my three decades here. 

I became part of the USAA family through my father-in-law, a Vietnam veteran who served in the Army Corps of Engineers for 20 years. Now, three generations are members. Our family’s story represents how USAA has evolved since our founding in 1922. The association expanded to include all who have honorably served and their families. Today, USAA has more than 13 million members who span the entire military community — from active duty to veterans to spouses and children. 

What drives our 35,000 employees is a calling to be there for your family, whether it’s to help you recover from a catastrophic event, protect your family or plan for the future. This passion is at the heart of the world-class service we are committed to providing with every interaction. 

As CEO, I am dedicated to upholding this legacy by serving with integrity and preparing USAA for our second century. We are evolving continually to meet your changing needs by:

• Investing in our people, systems, infrastructure and technology. We are focused on delivering world-class advice and experiences that meet your needs, are easy and simple to use, and are compliant with relevant laws and regulations. 

• Effectively managing expenses so we can offer competitive prices and fees.

• Safeguarding member information and thwarting cyber threats. You can have more control by enrolling in multifactor authentication for an extra layer of protection.
