2016 Report to Members Highlights a Commitment to Service

Released today, USAA’s 2016 Report to Members highlights a year of challenges, with a record number of claims resulting from some of the worst weather catastrophes in USAA history, and the triumphs of supporting our members through it all.

In 2016, USAA served 11.9 million members through 43 weather catastrophes, resulting in:

  • Almost 322,000 catastrophe claims filed by our members
  • $14 billion in total claims paid out
  • $1.4 billion returned to our members in distributions, dividends, bank rebates and rewards
  • Continued high member satisfaction scores

The Report to Members also provides an update on USAA’s financial performance, plus information on products, services and innovations planned for 2017, including new services to assist members with car buying, an unrivaled new credit card offering and more.

“Delivering excellent service is the cornerstone of the lifelong relationships we build with members,” CEO Stuart Parker said.

And, for the first time, the Report to Members is a digital-only publication, in answer to member preferences. It’s available on usaa.com and in a mobile-friendly format.
