Wayne Peacock Named President of USAA’s P&C Business; Heather Cox Joins as Chief Technology and Digital Officer

SAN ANTONIO – USAA named Wayne Peacock president, USAA Property and Casualty Insurance Group, reporting to COO Carl Liebert. Peacock recently served as executive vice president, Enterprise Strategy and Marketing at USAA. He succeeds Alan Krapf, who previously announced his retirement.

“When we opened the search for Alan’s replacement, we knew we needed another strong leader with extensive business experience and a passion for service excellence and our mission,” said CEO Stuart Parker. “Wayne meets those qualities. Our members and employees will benefit from his leadership.”

“It is an honor to lead the best P&C team in the land, serving those who protect America’s freedom,” Peacock said. “What’s always present is our commitment to legendary service and innovation. Alan and team have done incredible work this year, in the face of historic weather challenges.”

Peacock joined USAA’s investment real estate company in 1988. He’s delivered for members and employees in roles ranging from member service and operations to information technology, strategy and marketing. For the past decade, he’s served on the association’s executive council team. Peacock holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Tulane University. He has completed executive education programs at Duke, Harvard and The Wharton School, among others.

Heather Cox will join USAA’s senior leadership team as executive vice president, Chief Technology and Digital Officer, reporting to Parker. Cox will lead a team that includes Information Technology, Digital Strategy & Operations, and Experience Design. Most recently, she was CEO of Citi FinTech, driving innovation and solutions delivery across its business lines, with a focus on digital.

“Our members deserve world-class experiences whenever and however they interact with USAA,” said Parker. “Heather’s appointment reinforces our service commitment in fast-moving areas like digital, technology and user experience. She’s the right leader to take us where we’re going.”

“USAA is known for innovating and delivering an excellent member experience for the military community. I can’t wait to join the team,” Cox said.
