SAN ANTONIO – With the San Antonio community experiencing far reaching impacts from COVID-19, USAA has donated a total of $1 million to local nonprofit organizations to support their response.

Nonprofits included in the investment are the San Antonio Food Bank, South Texas Blood & Tissue Center, Meals on Wheels, Haven for Hope and United Way of San Antonio.

“Considering the enormous challenges from this health emergency, we know our local community needs help, especially those organizations serving our most vulnerable residents,” USAA CEO Wayne Peacock said. “We have been in close communications with local nonprofits to understand their specific needs in responding to this pandemic.”

The investment will help these organizations provide food, housing, blood and other essential support to assist San Antonians responding to and managing through the coronavirus pandemic.
