Banking and insurance functions will soon be available on your wrist
April 23, 2015 – USAA members soon will be able to access their banking and insurance information from their wrist. The smartwatch app for Apple Watch and Android Wear – now available in the Apple® Store and through Google® Play – features quick access to account information, push notifications for messages such as banking account alerts and updates on the status of an insurance claim.
“USAA is excited to evolve its digital technologies to meet our members’ needs for convenient, simple and safe access to financial transactions,” said Neff Hudson, vice president of emerging channels. “With the active, mobile lives of military families, our members have unique needs for this type of on-the-go access.”
With the USAA app for Apple Watch and Android Wear, members will have access to basic information about their accounts and be able to receive mobile alerts when account information changes.
“USAA members are early adopters of technology and as a digital-focused company, we need to deliver capabilities that meet their needs,” Hudson said. “As smartwatch technology continues to evolve, USAA is committed to using this platform to deliver exceptional experiences while ensuring the financial security of our members.”
