COLORADO SPRINGS – USAA’s recently completed renovation at its Colorado Springs campus is making room for more than 100 additional employees, the financial services provider announced today. The exact growth targets and the roles for which USAA will be hiring are still being finalized.
“Colorado Springs has been a great fit for USAA. It is a community that shares our passion for serving military families,” said Kent Fortune, USAA vice president and general manager of the Colorado Springs campus. “We want to hire more people with this passion to provide our members the service they need and deserve.”
USAA opened its Colorado Springs location in 1988 and employs approximately 1,800 people in the area. Founded in San Antonio in 1922, USAA employs 32,000 people worldwide and serves more than 12 million members.
“For 95 years, we have focused on serving the financial needs of the military community,” said USAA CEO Stuart Parker. “Our investments today better prepare us to care for our members for years to come.”
In addition to Colorado Springs, USAA also announced expansion plans in the following cities:
- Tampa: USAA announced the construction of the new Crosstown II building near its most recent building, Crosstown I. The new facility will be capable of housing up to 1,000 additional employees when completed in early 2019. USAA opened its Commerce Park location in 1993 and Crosstown (Phase I) in 2015. Currently, USAA employs 3,600 in Tampa.
- North Texas (Plano). USAA is constructing a new 150,000 square foot office building adjacent to its existing location in Legacy business park. When complete in early 2019, the building will have room for up to 850 employees. USAA opened its offices in Plano in 2014 and Addison in 2011. USAA employs 850 in the area.
