New location will serve the greater West Point community
SAN ANTONIO — After a competitive selection process, USAA Bank has been selected by the Department of the Army to be the on-post bank for the U.S. Army Garrison-West Point. The West Point community will have convenient access to the full range of USAA Bank’s highly competitive products and services.
“USAA exists to serve the financial needs of our members — the men and women in the military community — so we are honored to join forces with the United States Military Academy at West Point,” said David Bohne, president of USAA Bank. “The very first USAA members, in 1922, were Army officers who decided to band together and insure each others’ vehicles. Now, more than 90 years later, USAA Bank will proudly serve the next generation of Army leaders and the entire West Point community that makes them exceptional.”
Facility planning is currently underway. It will be USAA’s second location in the area along with the USAA Financial Center located outside the West Point gates in Highland Falls, N.Y. The on-post bank will serve West Point’s community of soldiers, family members, civilian personnel and military retirees.
USAA provides insurance, banking, investment and retirement products and services to 10 million members of the U.S. military and their families. Known for its legendary commitment to its members, USAA is consistently recognized for outstanding service, employee well-being and financial strength. USAA membership is open to all who are serving or have honorably served our nation in the U.S. military — and their eligible family members.
