I have to admit, I have never been one to wake up at 5am the day after Thanksgiving and rush to my favorite stores to get good deals. To those of you who are able to do this, my hat is off to you (I will be in a food coma -tryptophan anyone!?) I live in a relatively small town and have to do a lot of my shopping online normally, so Cyber Monday appeals to me MUCH more than braving a 45 minute drive to the real shopping world and battling other crazy shoppers.

If you are a REALLY serious bargain hunter the new Black Thursday will appeal to you! Many stores are opening Thursday evening to allow shoppers to get a head start on the typical day after Thanksgiving deals. Wal-Mart, Toys R Us and Sears will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving and Kmart is opening at 6 a.m. To get up to date information about early sales and deals, join retailers "loyalty programs", "like" their Facebook pages and sign up to be on their email distributions lists. For example, members of the "Shop Your Way" loyalty program at Sears (also works at Kmart and Lands End) can buy Black Friday deals online starting Sunday. In addition, Kohl's customers can shop their early-bird specials on beginning Wednesday of next week.

I feel that there are not as many resources helping you find cyber Monday deals that the black Friday deals colorfully presented in your Sunday newspaper. Here are some websites that will help you pin down the best online sales:

- Cyber Monday at Target
- Walmart's Cyber Monday Deals
- Find multiple store's Monday deals at
- Search for coupon codes to get online discounts or free shipping using
- Amazon, has daily deals listed as well as notifications for their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals

I frequently use to earn cash back on purchases, for daily deals, to be notified of sales at major retailers. These sites help me save enough that I find it unnecessary to camp out at Wal-Mart on thanksgiving night! Thank goodness, because I am much happier spending that time with my family and loved ones!

If you show Black Thursday, Friday or cyber Monday, how do you find the best deals? Please share so we can all get a little head start on our holiday shopping!
