The Association of Defense Communities is searching for the next set of great communities that are supporting service members and their military families in an exceptional way. As a benefit of being a member of the Association of Defense Communities, you can submit a nomination. Five communities from across the country will be chosen. The application period is open until January 31st, 2022.
Nomination Timeline
January 10 – Nomination portal opens.
January 19 – Information webinar takes place at 2pm ET for interested communities.
January 31 – Applications due at 5 p.m. ET.
February 11 – Winners announced.

The Great American Defense Communities program shines a light on the regions and individuals that are making a difference. The program was designed to recognize and celebrate communities with an exceptional commitment to improving the lives of service members, veterans and their families. The Great American Defense Communities is made possible through ADC’s partnership with USAA.
This year our program will include a special focus on community recovery, resilience and racial equality.
