This is the first year I am actually doing spring cleaning! Really the first year we have lived somewhere long enough to do it! What are your spring cleaning tips and tricks?

A good rule of thumb I use whenever I'm trying to throw stuff out is: "If I haven't used or worn this in the last 6-12 months, get rid of it!" You would be surprised in how much you collect in a year's time. Also use this time to look at foods either dried or in the fridge to check for exp dates because dried good are easily forgotten about. If you are looking into getting your carpets shampooed but don't have a shampooer, look up your nearest Home Depot because they rent them extremely cheap and are good quality!
Perfect window cleaning solution is 1 part vinnegar with 3 parts HOT water and a few drops of Dawn dish detergent. It is also amazing for cleaning chrome or other shiny stuff!
