Ok so I've tried to close 2 accounts with USAA. I am the primary account holder with one autherized user. I cannot close the account unless there is no transactions for 24 hours . well the autherized user makes a penny change in the account so I can't close it, all the while accuring over draft fees. USAA has been less than help full and they say there Military friendly but they just want your money. The last " supervisor" Shelly XXXXXXXX just kept saying the same thing over and over. when I asked her if she saw the situation as a catch 22 she said sorry you have to wait untill Monday and have no transactions for 24 hours. I'm closing all accounts with USAA and going local they are terrible... If I was deployed now this would be even more of a nightmare , Thanks USAA your in it for the money, stop advirtising your for the soldier., you suck..... Someone should take you to court maybe a class action law suit!
Transactions are processed overnight, if there are transactions still pending, the account cannot be closed.
Simple solution, have the authorized user stop making transactions for 1 day so you can close the account.
If your getting hit with overdraft fees, it is because you or your authorized user is overdrafting your account. Not sure how you feel this is USAA's fault. USAA offers services that are specifically aimed at those who served or have served. They aren't in business to cater to those who cannot manage their accounts properly.
