When my husband transitioned out of active duty over to the National Guard, I dreamt of a community that would be there for me and ready-made friendships that could make life easier. Turns out that community and support isn’t as easy as one might think. It took some time of getting out there and doing a lot of research, but the resources are there.
For my family, Joint Services Support was my go-to to help bridge that gap between National Guard and active duty communities. I also was able to find more information on tuition assistance when I wanted to complete my degree, as well as local community events in my local area.
