After 7 years in the military, I realized that there was a huge difference between what I wanted and what the Air Force wanted for me. I made the hard decision to separate from the Air Force because I NEED to reach my goals (my path). I had to consider a lot of factors, but most importantly I had to get my husband's support and opinion. He, fortunately, was all for it, and was ready to support me while I went back to school. I was told by too many people that I worked with that I was making the worst decision in this economy. Needless to say, I made the right decision and I am fortunate to have been able to make that decision. If I had children, I may have made a different decision. It really all depends on following your dreams, within reason.
