For those who already participated in the Petition and would like to provide suggestions, we will use this page to receive your feedback. This NFL Petition should be looked upon as a USAA Member community effort and we're open to any suggestions you may have. Now that a few of us have started the Petition effort we can all continue to build on it.
If you are providing feedback, please only reply to this specific page and leave the other pages for those who are joining the Petition.
The most important thing that everyone can do at this point is to continue to get the word out to other USAA Members on how to participate in this Petition.
Thank You, NFL Petition Command Center
Here is a suggestion from "RetiredArmy"
RetiredArmy2011 10-11-2017 11:38 AM Obviously, the BOD does not support or agree with the membership. I think this petition needs to be expanded to include a call for immediately replacing the BOD. IAW Article II, Section 2, a Special Meeting may be called if a petition signed by 1 percent of the members of USAA exists. I propose that this petition be expanded to call for a Special Meeting to not only force a stop to the NFL sponsorship and advertising, but also to replace the Board of Directors, who obviously have forgotten that they work for the membership.
DISCUSSION: The way the Petition Statement Conclusion is currently worded supports your thought, which is for Mgmt to either support the vast majority of members with Ending the NFL Sponsorship or it may be best to move on. Your suggestion actually adds a technical solution on how to achieve what the Conclusion Statement is recommending.
"RetiredArmy", you seem to have some technical knowledge in this area so feel free to draft up a follow on paragraph to our Conclusion paragraph with the specifics of your proposal and we'll look at it. Again, we wouldn't be changing the current conclusion, you would just be adding a specific way to achieve that conclusion. Start a new paragraph that would follow our conclusion paragraph with "Therefore," and add your proposed comment. We have a way to go before we get to 1 percent so we have time to work this.
There are similar suggestions from other members. Here is one more. carrdon 10-12-2017 06:53 AM USAA is a mutual company, owned by its members. Its time to get rid of this management because this management no longer reflects the interests or values of its membership.
