Soon the retailers will be filling the aisles with back to school supplies. Getting ready for the upcoming school year involves many aspects. No matter if your student (or you) is headed back to elemementary school, middle school, high school or college, each has its set of unique challenges. How are you getting ready for a successful start to the school year? We'd love to hear your insights. Share your tips for success below:

USAA: You need to let parents (and students) know that 18 year olds going off to college are legal adults, and should have a will, healthcare advance directive (living will), a HIPAA release naming parents, a FERPA release naming parents, and a general power of attorney so that parents may take care of legal paperwork while the student is away at school. See your family attorney to discuss these documents.
