Taking a trip to France in a few months. It's expensive to "buy" euros from a stateside bank. Can I just use my debit card to get euros from an ATM in France?
Thanks for posting to the Community, FWBurr. You can use your debit card to withdraw cash from the ATMs overseas. Be aware that when you make a debit or ATM transaction in a foreign currency, Visa charges a 1% foreign transaction fee. The 1% fee includes all amounts charged by Visa on foreign transactions. If needed, more information about foreign currency transactions is in your Depository Agreement. - Cathleen
