RV Coverage

I am writing to express my disappointment with USAA. We have been members since 2003. We have insured our car and motor home during this time. When we first contacted USAA, we spoke to a very nice young man who answered our questions over and over again for about a week. We wanted to make sure we were getting the coverage we needed.

See, we are full time rvers. Many companies won't insure full time rvers. So, the question was asked again and again. We were assured that USAA insured full time rvers so we bought the policy.

Over the course of time, we have had 2 claims. USAA quickly sent an adjuster to assess the damage. The damage was repaired and we were ever so happy with everything.

This year we called USAA to increase our insurance only to find out there was a problem. Seems USAA does not insure full time rvers and hadn't since the mid 1990's. WHAT???? How many time has this been mentioned over the times we have talked to USAA?? Everytime we got an affirmative answer.

USAA did not say they would cancel us but we would not be renewed in January. So now we had to scramble to find insurance. We found coverage although it is costing us a lot more.

USAA does insure rv's but not full timers. Never did get an answer to why. Would really like an answer to that. We feel we have been somewhat discriminated against and would really like an answer.

I retired with 41 years of service. During our travels we have met many retired military traveling full time like us. Many of them have USAA. As a matter of fact, that is how we found USAA. We are saddened that this has happened and would appreciate an answer.

General Robles, We request that you review our case, review this policy, and have our policy reinstated.

Sincerely Yours
