If you find yourself being PCS'd to ft carson, and you do not want to live on post, check out fountain, co. it has a small time feel and the schools are good. its close to the base, and the prices aren't bad. just an fyi
Thank you for your advice! My husband is PCS'ing there this month and I will not be far behind. We are going to look at apts and houses next week. What is crime like in that area and in nearby areas? I have heard several horror stories.
Fountain is a great place to live, no doubt! We are stationed at Carson as well and we absolutely love it here. the weather is mild, I see lots of wildlife and there is so much to do outdoors.
