After my husband passed away in January of 2009, USAA sent me a packet of information to help me during the transition. They let me speak to financial advisors who helped greatly. They worked with me to put off a few payments and to lower a loan's interest rate, helping me get by finanacially better. Their people are friendly, kind, and extremely courteous and helpful. More recently, when groggy from anaesthesia after a medical procedure, USAA helped me with some transactions I needed to make online, but feared that I would make a mistake. The woman was so helpful and even sent me information from USAA on preparing for a move.
USAA is more than a bank to me. They are like family. USAA is the best financial institution to which I have ever belonged and I have been around the block more than a few times.
