Our family is into the third generation of USAA members. We were introduced to USAA in 1959 when my husband was at the Air force Academy. USAA became his bank and then, when he was finally allowed to have a car, it was also his auto insurer. We eventually insured our home with USAA as well. We have never had any other insurance, so when our son and daughter needed insurance, it was with USAA for their cars and homes. Now our grandchildren are driving and they are insured with USAA, too. Whenever we are approached by insurance salesmen, it is fun to say, "We have USAA", because their response is always the same, "Well, we can't beat that".
