My ROTC Instructor told me "DO NOT to get a "Camaro" with your first paycheck, save some money, invest some, and get into USAA as soon as you own something". That was in 1982. My wife has been in the finance / insurance field her entire adult life... and says USAA is "nothing but the best". Her only complaint? Texas is too long a commute from NY... otherwise she would be working for USAA.
