Legacy

My parents joined USAA the week after their wedding, in April of 1950. In fact, they traveled to San Antonio, Texas for their Honeymoon for the sole purpose of joining USAA prior to my dad's impending deployment to Okinawa. Dad entered the military in the 1940's, and retired in 1977 after 33 years, and over the course of his career, he and mom signed up all four of their children with USAA numbers and accounts. I have maintained mine for well over 30 years now, and continue to enjoy not only banking but insurance products and services. And I'm proud to say I have passed on that legacy to my children and step-children as well! As an interesting twist of fate, after living all over the world as a military brat, and all over the country as a travel nurse, I now make my home in San Antonio, Texas, and enjoy all the benefits locally. Both my parents passed away within the past two years, and I miss them terribly. But it's a comfort to me to have this connection to them through an institution they believed so strongly in. Thanks, USAA!
