Grumpy operator

A couple of years ago I called USAA and the operator sounded like she was a little annoyed, a bit brusque and preoccupied. After the call I was a little annoyed myself to get that kind of service. Then I realized that I had never had that happen in the 50 plus years since I joined USAA, a nearly miraculous record. Instead of being upset it woke me up to the fact that I had just taken for granted the remarkable service USAA had provided for all those years. Now I appreciate it every day. Nobody else comes close.
