When my military husband and I divorced after a 23-year marriage, I was thrilled to learn that USAA and I would not be divorced. When told that I could remain a member as an ex-spouse, I felt as though an old friend had just given me a comforting hug. Being given a member number of my very own gave me an added sense of security. As a military-spouse member since approximately 1966, and now an individual member since 1990, I truly enjoy being a part of the USAA family.
