USAA HAS BENT OVER BACKWARDS FOR ME!

I am sorry if anyone else has had problems, but USAA has been so generous and helpful to me. All my accidents have been handled quickly and they have been so eager to make sure I was okay and if I needed anything else. I have been with USAA since I was 16-17 and am now almost 47, so I do have experience with these wonderful people. Some of these accidents were indeed my fault, but USAA never made me feel ashamed. I will always be loyal to this Bank. They have improved my life and that of all my family. Have you considered that maybe you just happened to catch a rep that did not want to follow job protocol or was having a bad day? It could be the individual rep that is the problem....I have never enjoyed a financial institution more...and I work for one! :smileyhappy:

I have been with USAA since I was 16 and I am now 60 and I just have had a terrible experience with USAA.  Their supervisors came in and made it worse.  They blamed me for not getting a policy package when I asked for one.  I probably would have defended them a year ago but now that they are growing so much, things are definitely not as good as they were even a decade ago, much less 30-40 years ago.  They are signing up everyone who asks and they are having a lot of growing pains.  Their representatives need to be better trained.  When they make a mistake, they apologize but don't make it better.

I already wrote a bunch of messages to USAA and only got a supervisor in the department who told me that they would correct the problem and then called back a couple of days later and retracted that statement that they would help me.  I called to complain about USAA lying to me and only got apologies but no action other than blaming me for their not sending me a policy in time.  I had to report them to a government agency and they lied in their response so they are not fixing the problem.  I see that USAA has really grown too large.  They wouldn't have done this years ago and I was really surprised that a supervisor would call my house and blame me for not receiving a policy package when I requested one.

I wrote a message about that and got no response so it doesn't matter if I write an email.  In a message that relates to anything to computer support, I get the same form answer.  I am told information that is irrelevant or doesn't pertain to me or just doesn't make any sense.  I tried, but I give up and I am taking my insurance needs to another company after having been insured for 39 years with USAA.  You can imagine how disgusted I have to be to leave a company after all those years.  But I have found USAA to have MANY agents who are just plain incompetent.  In all those years, I have had very few claims and USAA made a LOT of money off of me.  I was an excellent customer.

I'm here to say, that as far as I'm concerned there is no other bank-I have the Roadside Service--- being w/USAA almost 4 months--I needed a tow from my residence to Taos Tire Factory, about $60.00.  The service was excellent----I really felt bad about having to use the service so soon, but the ignition switch froze on my Classic Van-simply buy a new one at Auto Zone-$20.00-and have it installed-a major contribution to mechanization-$65.00.

USAA helped me significantly in getting the Van to the Taos Tire Factory-I'm impressed.  Now I'll never worry roadside assistance.

I tried everything in the book to save USAA the cost of that tow, but the switch was locked "off", and it would not start even hotwiring.

By the way, Taos tire Factory has great products and service, if your ever in Northern NM-and they have contacts w/something like 188 tire dealers nationwide-great store, adept &knowledgeable, fair and honest mechanic, Russell.  John he's the owners son.

Sincerely,

Ronnie Rocker:

You paid $60 with USAA to have your car towed? I have additional coversage with AAA Preminum to avoid paying out of pocket fees for towing. I pay $125 yr with AAA for 4-6 free tows a year. AAA Preminum will tow 100 miles free. USAA has a limit and charge additional fees as you mentioned. Most people are happy with services when they have either had bad service from other companies however it is wise to inestgate other options. I like USAA but I want to see what the other companies have to offer and save a few hunderd dollars a year.

I will give it to USAA, I have had exemplary service from their banking and insurance department.  But recently, I've had terrible occurances with their mortgage department. I was contacted to refinance my VA loan and when I explained about a bankruptcy not being discharged yet, I was told it wasn't a problem. All I had to do was answer some questions, sign a few papers and give a deposit of $350 in order to get a lower mortgage payment.  This was AFTER I said I didn't want to if it wasn't really going to be beneficial, which I was assured it would be.  I was told that my good faith deposit of $350 would be applied toward my loan at closing.

The loan did not get approve through underwriting and I called about the $350 not being returned to my account. I was informed at that time that the deposit was non-refundable!!  I was told to check the papers I signed and I did, with my processor on the phone and we both noticed NOWHERE on the documentation did it state "non-refundable deposit: nor was I told beforehand. Honestly, having a banking system so far away along with 2 very bad experiences is too much. I will be looking for a federal credit union closer to home.

Seba can you tell me how they helped you for at fault accidents? I'm having a problem. I am being used by the other party and my representative Nicole said she didn't know if they would hire a lawyer and defend me. I thought insurance companies were our representatives. Any advice would be great? Thanks
