Why the auto insurance id card shows nonowner as the vehicle?

In order for a ID card to be generated there does need to be a description of what is covered. In a non-owners policy only the policy holder and household members will be covered and the description is called "Non-Owners". This is also to show that the policy doesn't cover a owner owned vehicle on the non-owners policy. - Ralph
