USAA has left me without a car for almost 2 months since my BMW was in an accident. And now it's a total loss and they are holding my equity funds until a salvage title is obtained, I've tried to purchase a used car until my funds are released or my BMW is repaired. They refuse to lend me less than $5,000 for a used car that's black-booked by USAA at $2,000 more than I'm paying for it. They won't give me a temporary personal loan or extend my credit card limit.
If I had to do it over again, I would've made them pay for a rental car until this is resolved. After all I have FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE with USAA.
Also during the total loss claim process I was constantly left in the dark throughout the process steps and was actually locked out of my claims communication center at one point. I felt like I was manipulated. They even undervalued my car and shorted me on my payoff check.
So here I am without a car for 2 months, without my thousands of vehicle equity dollars and can't buy another car because they won't send the dealer a check less than $5,000.
So I question what does USAA actually care about...... $
It certainly isn't me.
