Some time back, I filled out all the screens for some insurance quotes.  The homeowners quotes came back significantly higher than local agents quotes.  The auto quotes were also higher but not by as much.


When seeking quote by phone, do the agents have further options for better rates?  The web form excluded anything to do with farming for example.

I haven't found the Chat reps to be particularly helpful or knowledgable.  Mostly basic replies like 'we need to refer this to someone else', or 'we have no information on this'.


The question remains, do the phone reps have further options for better rates than what the web form kicks out?
