On April 30, 2019, I called USAA to change my permanent address from VA to FL. Despite the fact that I've been a customer for over 30 years, and my VA and CA policies had already been renewed, I was told that my policy would have to be re-approved through underwriting due to some already resolved driving issues. Why should issues dating back 3 to 5 years affect my ability to relocate my policy from VA to FL? Especially since those issues were resolved long ago and my policies had already been renewed? I think this is a poor way to treat a long time loyal customer and I'm very disappointed in the way USAA is handling my permanent move. Moving is stressful enough without the added stress of being "re-evalueated" by my insurance company. I am now seriously considering alternative insurers for all my insurance needs.
