If you own two homes, can you have homeowner's insurance coverage on both properties?

We own two homes, but only our primary residence is covered by Homeowner's Insurance.  The secondary property is only covered by Rental Property Insurance.  Is it possible to have both homes completely covered with Homeowner's Insurance?

@WassupDoc, Great question! If the secondary home is used by you as a secondary or vacation home, it should be covered under a Homeowners policy in most cases. If the home is vacant, on the market to sell, currently being built, or lived in by tenants, it should be covered under a Rental Property policy. To discuss further and potentially change the contract to a Homeowners insurance policy, if applicable, please give us a call at 800-531-USAA (8722) or initiate a chat by selecting Help at the top of usaa.com. Looking forward to hearing from you!  ~Danielle
