I’m a disabled veteran living in Hawaii with my wife who is active duty. I’ve been with USAA since I joined the military, and have done business with you all since then. In the process of moving to Hawaii and changing my loan to reflect my wife, the insurance on my Dodge Dart expired and wasn’t restarted. In that time, I had an accident in March when I moved here with the car to Hawaii. I called expecting insurance to handle it, but I learned that my insurance hadn’t been paid up to the date of the accident.
I tried filing a claim, but was denied. I’m 70% disabled, cannot work, and I’m struggling to make ends meet without a car. I even offered to pay up to the balance of what was owed, but to no avail.
You guys insist you’re all about helping active duty, and vets. I need help. I’m an aircraft mechanic, but I’m disabled, and I can’t fix this on my own. Please.
