There’s an old saying in Texas: If you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes and it will change. You could say the same thing about the auto business these days.

Vehicles are being redesigned faster than ever, with new models, hybrids, electric engines and safety features rolling out. And the Internet has given consumers a huge advantage. Reviews, photos and side-by-side comparisons are easily accessible, and smartphones and tablets now allow customers to consult these resources even while they’re out shopping on the car lot.

Despite these advances, many still feel alone when negotiating car prices. It doesn’t have to be that way.

USAA’s Auto Circle self-service tool — on the main page of any USAA Mobile App — includes our pre-negotiated, no-hassle Car Buying Service. Highly competitive auto loan rates, competitive auto insurance choices, helpful maintenance tips and extended vehicle protection plans also are included. Members can get help trading and selling their current vehicles. It’s a one-stop destination right at your fingertips.

But don’t take it from us.

Andrew Aebi of Beaverton, Oregon, turned to USAA’s Car Buying Service to quickly purchase a new vehicle after the clutch in his wife’s sedan unexpectedly burned out during a snowstorm. Aebi says USAA saved him time and allowed his family to find a replacement vehicle without having to venture out in the bad weather. The pre-negotiated price also was a big plus.

“Without a doubt, we got a good price on our new Acura MDX,” Aebi says. “The dealer gulped a little bit when we brought in the price from USAA.”
