USAA will not sell homeowners insurance in Florida to non-active duty personnel because of hurricanes, but folks in Texas, for example, can get USAA homeowners insurance. Florida hasn't had a hurricane in over 10 years, yet Texas gets slammed, unfortunately, with devastating tornadoes every year. How do you explain the disparity in the treatment of Floridians?

Huh?

I live in Houston, and the last hurricane that hit Texas was Ike, waaaay back in 2008. By any known math, that's 8 years ago.

Please read my post. I said Texas gets hit by tornadoes. I made no reference to hurricanes in Texas. Thanks.
