USAA is not USAA your Grandfather had. After returning home from a mandatory evacuation and surveying the damage to our home from Hurricane Florence we submitted our very first claim. We feel our claim has been mishandled by USAA and ALLCAT. Over a 2 month period of no answers, left messages and varying stories of what and where the status of our claim is we are finally left with a whopping 0% coverage. Needless to say wd our very disappointment and will be looking elsewhere for our insurance needs. I expected so much more from USAA as their premiums are much higher than other insurance companies. Paying more surly does not mean that you will be compensated for your higher premiums or loyality to this company. You just won't get the same level of professionalism or coverage.

Your first sentence says it all! The big question is how long the current USAA team can live off the reputation of the earlier USAA team.

That is the question. If you look at USAA the complaints started about 3 years ago. What happened, what policy changes...something happened that I do NOT consider them a military friendly organization anymore. Better rates from other companies. Less hassles.

Been with USAA since 1970 and when I told other insurance companies they would always shrug and say they cannot compete, end of conversation.  From what you all are saying and what we are hearing from others, many insurance companies are now beating USAA in costs and quality of coverage.  It seems that we are going to also make a move early next year.  How log does it take to get your funds from your subscribers account and how does one get information on exactly how much is currently in your account?
