I recently purchased my new home... through the USAA Movers Advantage Program. I have been very very satisfied up until about a month ago. My furnace doesn't work. It has not worked once since I have tried to turn it on! It's getting cold! My concern is the fact that a home inspector HAD to inspect the furnace according to the VA home loan that I received. I had a heating company come to inspect it, they said that it needs a new circuit board, and that by the looks of it hasn't worked for almost a year... I have only lived there since August. The sellers of the home transferred their home warranty over to me... The warranty company is telling me that the furnace is not covered because the furnace wasn't working when I moved in. How is that possible!? Why would the VA approve a loan for a home that doesn't have a working furnace... in Michigan!!? I'm very frustrated. Where do I go from here? Who do I contact?
