In the process of buying our third home in the last 10 years, and went with USAA again and even are using the home circle home buyers program for the first time. DO NOT EVER use this program.

 

We have already missed our closing date, and can not be given a new one, as a result my family as the buyers and the other family who was selling are now in a homeless status. This is great timing as I have children to register for school with no permanent physical address.

 

I am on day five of waiting for a call back, everyone goes to voice mail, no one will even call my Realtor back who is an authorized Home Circle realtor?

Customer service is aweful, actually it is down right shi!!y, I would rather communicate to a call center in a third world country.

 

There is no communication, my processor or handler has changed at least a dozen times. When someone does finally get a hold of you they request some more documents that you have already sent in that they can not find.

 

THIS NIGHTMARE WILL NOT HAVE BEEN WORTH THE CASH BACK BONUS.

 

Never had these problems using a regular realtor.

 

Couple this with the PCS move and switching over car insurance to another state that took the entire Month of May to complete I am currently shopping around for another financial institution.

 

USAA use to be great, however they are reverting back to the investment and life insurance peddlers that were somewhat predatory to service members back  in the 80's and 90's.

 

20 years service, 14th and last year with USAA!

 

With the 1000's of people from all services I have connections with I WILL NEVER recommend USAA products or services to them again.

I agree, their service was much better a few years back and it seems every year that goes by they get worse and worse. They question you about transfers repeatedly, don't dispute unauthorized transactions the same, car insurance isn't as great, tow coverage doesn't cover ANY tow completely, and more. You are not the only one.

I had the same situation, I was pre-qualified, then qualifed with condition of proving my 1099 status (which I DID), the seller's moved out of the house, we were to close in 3 days and they have denied my loan saying I didn't meet the condition which is complete BULL****  The supervisor has NEVER called me, very unprofessional.   I did receive great customer service from Brian, but he's hands were tied and he isn't the decision maker.  I am 42 member of USAA and now moving everything over to Navy Federal Credit Union !!!  I am DONE with this mess !!!

I did receive the letter from USAA, not to say that I am extremely disappointed in this entire process. I have talked with so many loan processor's I know and they say that I was completely misled. To go from a PRE-Qual to a Qualification with conditions means that SOMEONE has reviewed the information and as long as I supplied the information for the condition I should have been approved. I am very unhappy with how USAA handled this and am moving all my investments, insurance, everything over to the Navy Federal Credit Union. I'm done with you all. AND your boss never called me, very UNPROFESSIONAL. I guess you all feel you have way too much business now to offer good customer service.

I DO appreciate your help, you were the ONLY person outside Maria ( Loan origination) that delivered great customer service.
