"Always Ready, Always There", the National Guard Motto is ringing truer than ever. In honor of the National Guard Birthday December 13th, and to recognize what a large impact the National Guard has on the fight against COVID-19 here are some of the impactful ways the National Guard is working to keep us safe and healthy. 


Ohio Guard partners with state to plan vaccine distributionAbout two dozen Guard members have been working with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) at the state’s Receive, Store and Stage (RSS) warehouse to develop the logistics plan to receive and repackage the vaccine for distribution.


Indiana National Guard partner to ship critical COVID-19 supplies: The Guard and its state agency partners rushed to fill the void to sort and deliver medical supplies and personal protective equipment throughout the state and to hospitals with the most urgent needs.


National Guard advises Czech Republic on COVID-19 response: Members of the Nebraska and Texas National Guard traveled to the Czech Republic in November at the request of the Czech Republican Ministry of Health to share best practices on fighting COVID-19


N.Y. National Guard adds troops to airport screening mission: The New York National Guard has screened more than 456,000 airline passengers since starting a mission to help the New York State Department of Health limit the spread of COVID-19.
