I can't remember when it started but lately, when scanning a check in depoist@mobile the camera has been extremely frustrating. It used to find the check almost instantly but now there is a black bar masking half the screen and it appears as if it was designed to be used at an angle as I can only get the blue targeting box to come up if the phone is at approximately a 45 deg angle to the table/desk and even then it takes a bit of work to get it to scan. Is this working as designed? It's much much worse than it used to be.


This was an issue with app version 7.7. Ensure you have version 7.9. Try switching to manual capture. Tap options in the lower left corner to change the capture mode. If that doesn't do the trick, call Website Customer Support to report the issue.

I would make sure you have the latest updates on your USAA application as COScum suggested and if you are still experiencing the issue please give or website customer support a call at 1-877-632-3002 .
