I am very disappointed with the VA IRRL program with USAA. They advertise no appraisal, had to get an appraisal. I even received a closing cost statement and electronically signed for the acceptance, then after 2.5 months trying to refinance / one day before the official closing, they told me it wasn't in my best interest to refinance. I don't recommend their VA IRRL program at all, hope you have better luck.

There are NO concerns, it was a failure on USAA's part NOT to decline my request to refinance in the beginning, not string it out for several months, and only 5 days after I signed the closing disclosure, "it's not in my best interest". After 18 years with USAA, I expected a different result. There is NO prescription to fix my situation.
