I have been with USAA since I joined the military 12 years ago. My son uses my Post 911 GI Bill and goes to school full time and receives a $2292 stipend a month for rent and living expenses. USAA simply denied him for insufficient income and credit history. The problem is if they had contacted us we could had sent his explanation of benefits to show that he has attended University of California for 2 years with perfect grades and has 2 more to go under my Post 911 GI Bill, and has a paid internship with the VA office on Campus. So once again, USAA has decided to take the easy way and just say no. End result, we went to NFCU and walked out with a pre-approval check for his new car.
