I contacted USAA multiple times regarding my inquiry and have yet to receive a response. I have also researched and reached out to other providers regarding my inquiry. Many are stumped which leads me to believe there may be an issue here.
I pulled my credit reports and it was discovered that two USAA departments currently make separate monthly soft inquiries on my credit report to the credit agencies. The inquires show up on my reports as monthly hits. I asked the credit agencies and of course, they said to ask USAA. I have sent USAA screenshots of a credit report as verification as to these transactions.
USAA representatives I spoke to have no clue why this is happening. When a couple of the representatives brought it to their supervisors, I was left with, someone will contact you. Nothing in writing, no follow-up, no nothing. This makes no sense for USAA to conduct monthly soft inquiries and from TWO SEPERATE USAA departments.
I don't believe USAA is allowed to put an inquiry on my credit unless I have authorized it, especially if I have opted out of inquiries. I also asked nicely for USAA to please have the inquiries stopped unless they can document appropriately the reason for monthly soft inquiries from multiple USAA departments.

Hello @gsutiger, I understand the seriousness of the situation. I have located your information and will engage a specialist to review the details. Thank you for speaking up today. ~Sarah
Yesterday I had what, for USAA, is a favorable experience. A transaction over the phone that I was assured would only take minutes consumed a mere hour, three different representatives (only one of whom had any clue as to what they were talking about), and one phone disconnect after 25 minutes, so I had to start from scratch with another pleasant but ignorant rep. It seems USAA is so busy telling us we're all racists and fighting "racial injustice" by supporting the elite BLM organization, they forgot they're actually a bank. In my experience with the "new" USAA (I've been a member for 37 years) don't hold your breath waiting for them to get back to you.
Yes, I am noticing the increase in fines being levied on USAA as well. The vague answers are what is concerning. No one ever has an answer for something that should be in the representative's FAQ. My other banks do not make monthly inquiries from multiple departments which is why this is a bit more concerning.
