Stimulus check #2, my husband and I are on different continents

Our 2nd stimulus check is made out to both my spouse and myself. Because of COVID-19 we are currently on different continents. Will USAA let me deposit the check into our joint account if only I sign it?

LiaB - You can deposit a check made to two parties if both parties are joint account holders. A check may be made out to Jane Doe and James Doe. In this case, ensure both payees' signatures are present on the back of the check. A check may be made out to Jane Doe or James Doe. Hi Jason,

OK, so then it is a no. The check is made out to X and X.  Is there any other work around? I don't know when I will see him again (COVID!).

@LiaB, Yes since there is an "and" you both need to sign it. Perhaps whoever receives the check first can sign, mail it to the other, and then they could sign and deposit it through the USAA app or website. Hope this helps! ~Tom
