I was disappointed to find out that you charge $8.00 for expedited shipping on a replacement debit card when most banks will overnight it without charge. I also found out today that although I ordered the card on 7/26 that you sent a message asking if I authorized it. Why don’t you have the proper security set up when I requested the replacement? Now I will have to wait another 5 days.
Roger that! Happened more than once: USAA deleted my card because charges posted away from my home address [despite my having informed USAA I would be traveling]; and when one was damaged. Since there were multiple cards under my account [prior to the new system of different card numbers per person], USAA charged me to ship new cards to my family members. That merely added insult to injury: USAA fouled up, then made me pay for their mistake. Same thing for cards damaged by card readers, or whatever causes the damage. Just a nitnoid pain, but it’s there. Expedited shipping is fine, especially if I cause the problem, but still a pain and takes time. That’s why I carry two Visa cards: a backup just in case something happens to one. Feel your irritation.
@Rbtown, thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding the expedited mailing fee. The security of your account is always a top priority and I am sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We value your feedback and I will be forwarding your concerns to the appropriate department for further review. - Robyn
