A word of warning: in the past, every 1099-B form I have received from USAA was available by Jan 31st of the following year (heck, EVERY tax form). At the very beginning this month, I started in on my taxes and went to check USAA's site. It had 1099-Div and that was it. Hmmm, I thought, that's strange, but ok, I don't know tax law but know it has changed, and I don't have much in the way of investments, so I must not get a 1099-B this year.
Went ahead and did my taxes, filed them. And yesterday I received 1099-Bs from Victory Capital, with a postmark date of 2/6/20. So now I have to file an amended return.
Just one more way the sale to Victory has not been good for USAA members.
