How long for NFCU check mailed deposit?

Almost 7 days ago I mailed in a NFCU cashier's check of over $5000 to be deposited into my checking account. I've not seen it post to my account, and worry that it might've gotten lost in the mail. Before this deposit, checks from NFCU were posted within 5 days of when they were mailed. What has changed from February to March?

Hi Vermantil, That's a great question. There has been no change in how mail deposits are processed. We post deposits as soon as they are received. Deposits received over the weekend will post on the following business days. Also, whenever a deposit is mailed, we ask to allow 7 to 10 business days for deposit to post to your account. If it's has been more than 10 business days, I recommend contacting NFCU to confirm if the cashier check had cleared. If has cleared, we can research further if you can provide us a copy of the front and back of the cancelled check. - Ben
