There are a lot of variables to answer that. Your age, future jobs, retirement plans, investing knowledge and experience, risk profile, etc. At today's interest rates, FIA's are unpopular. With interest rates this low, many people interested in income investments have moved to dividend stocks, municipal bond funds, or index mutual funds.
