I'm wondering now if I've made the right decision in choosing USAA. I live 100 miles from the nearest UPS Store. With a new account you have to wait 30 days before you can use the Deposit Mobile function. So in order to deposit my paycheck I have to drive at least 200 miles roundtrip. Upon asking if there's any way I can get that restriction lifted they told me no. Are you kidding me?!

Why not have your employer direct deposit your check directly into your USAA account?

It is well worth the wait. I live in Ga and USA is the only bank I use. I have not had a local bank in about 3 years.

This particular employer doesn't do direct deposit, they're a small, mom-n-pop kind of place. I think I might just close that account... I don't think I should have to drive 200 miles to get a check deposited.

It is my understanding that having no branch locations allows USAA to give members better benefits. But there has to be more options. Just stopped by a UPS Store to make a deposit just to be told they don't do that at this location. The next closest location is 150 miles or so from here. Seems like USAA only wants people who use direct deposit.

Hi! Not sure if this applies to you. But whenever I get bank checks or personal checks I just use the electronic deposit application from my phone. I just fill out the back and take a picture of the check from the app and bang,,,its in my account. The last check I deposited I did while in the drive thru at McDonalds because the line was long and had a few minutes. Anyway, if you have deposits to make in the form of a check or whatever,,its super easy with a smart phone. Cash,,, not sure how to do that one because Ive never had to do it. The phone app works great!
