Credit score update

Account was closed by USAA for several months payments were reported as late.

Brought account up to date and to a zero balance.

account is still being reported late and late payments of $34.00 being charged to a cleared account.

Experian says to goto USAA.  USAA says go th experian.

Does anyone know how to get help?

@Chopper_1952, Thanks for reaching out to us. I understand that your account is being reported incorrectly. To proceed in correcting, you would need to file a "Consumer Report Dispute". To get the form to proceed, please use the following:


  1. Log into
  2. Select My Tools.
  3. Select Get USAA Forms under Documents and Forms,
  4. Select Banking, then Consumer Report Dispute.
  5. Select preferred option:
  • Credit Report Dispute Online Request > Complete Online
    • Note: After submitting the dispute, the member will receive details on "What Happens Next" along with the option to upload supporting documentation.
  • ​Credit Report Dispute Online Request > Download (PDF)
    • Note: Instructions on how to return the completed form to USAA along with the turnaround time for completion are within the downloaded document.

Unrelated but don’t understand why usaa discontinued a basic concept of credit score. Almost every bank and credit union offers. I would suggest to review this option again

Even their "Dispute" process is ineffective. I went through that process when they reported something on my Equifax report. Equifax notified me about it--and when I disputed it and provided them with the info, they blew me off by saying everything was in order. When I asked what they reported--they couldn't even tell me. That was enough for me to close all my financial/banking/CC business with them after 30+yrs. Even moved my spouse and kids. That was a little over 4yrs ago. :-)
