I have a student loan that I want to use a credit card to make payments to earn reward points.  The problem is that the lender does not accept credit card payments.  I was thinking off ordering convenience checks from my credit card and making payment that way.  My questions are 1. will this earn points 2. does the interest on a check start right away or is there time to pay it off before it accrues.

Hello @GregZAM. I understand how earning points is important to you. Convenience Checks do not earn rewards. There is also the possibly there could be a fee for writing a check and there is also no grace period for interest charges. This may not be the best option to pay off this loan. Hope this helps. -Colleen
